The Sultan Palace is acomplex where the soultane, his families and “abdi dalem” are living, named Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat, its has some buildings , walls, and two square at the south and north coast.
The main hall, the throne and the kencono [golden] hall are located at the center of the Palace, its sheltered by beautiful carving pillars, atthe back yard, it has Proboyekso hall where the palace heirloom are kept, at the other side of Proboyekso hall there is a wonderful place where most of the soultane families are living, the present soultan is one’s who lives there to, this place is prohibiyed for public visittors
GEDUNG AGUNG [STATE BUILDING]
Gedung Agung or the state building in fact is the palace for the Indonesian President, it used to be the ofice of Dutch Resident, the building is located by the end of Mallioboro street and it was built in 1842. Avialable to visit by tourists with special permission.
VREDEBURG FRONT
The V redebrug which is located near by the state building Gedung Agung was used as the Dutch front , built in 1765 , now is used as a museum and has some historycal photos around Indonesian revulation time in 1949. Today vredeburg is a palace for art activites and cultual event.
MALIOBORO
Malioboro is a shoping site at the center of Jogya. In the palace ,ones could find many stores, losmen,out door shops selling locally souvenirs made by Jogyanesse. At the and of the street, there is a largest indoor market Beringharjo selling hundred kinds of batiks, at the side of the market, there is nice building or front Vredeburg built by the Dutch at 1765.
At the day light, Malioboro is a center of Jogya business with the night transaction, by night this place is an amazing area to find traditional food with very exotic Jogya nuance
